Facility is looking for Locum Coverage Cardiothoracic-Surgeon starting ASAP! The preferred coverage includes clinic & OR + 24hr call. Specialty : Surgery - Cardiothoracic Start date : ASAP ; End date : Ongoing Coverage type: Call + Clinic SCHEDULE :

• Monday - Friday 7 am - 3:30 pm clinic/OR & 24hr call
• Coverage start date: Dec 1, 2024 start JOB DESCRIPTION :
  • Reason for Coverage: Cardiothoracic Surgery Coverage
  • Practice Setting: Office/ Hospital/ OR/ Rounding
  • Call Schedule: After office hours and weekends
  • Trauma Level/Designation: n/a
  • Number of Operating Rooms: 1
  • Documentation System/EMR: Epic
  • Patient Age Demographic: Adult 18+
  • Scope of Services Required: Adult Cardiac Surgery, General Thoracic Surgery
  • REQUIRED DUTIES/PROCEDURES :
    • Aortic Surgery Procedures Required: Descending Aortic Aneurysms
    • Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery Procedures Required: CABG, Redo Coronary Revascularization(With or Without Heart Valve Surgery), Arterial Revascularization(Using Internal Mammary Arteries, Radial Artery and Gastroepiploic Artery), Pericardial Window, Tube Thoracostomy, Thoracic aortic aneurysms
    • Thoracic Endoscopy Procedures Required: Flexible and Rigid Bronchoscopy, Thoracotomy Lung Resections and Pneumonectomy, Chest Wall Resection and Reconstruction, Mediastinal Surgery
    • Vascular Surgery Procedures Required: Heart Valve Repair/Replacement Surgery, Heart Valve Replacement Without Surgery (CoreValve System), Mitral Valve Repair SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS :
      • Board Certification (American Board of Thoracic Surgery) - REQUIRED
      • Active VA license & DEA - REQUIRED, no exceptions
      • BLS/ACLS - REQUIRED
      • Fellowship Training - REQUIRED
