  • Job Details
  • TRAVEL SA OR The Certified Surgical Assistant, is the person who scrubs in at the field and works as the surgeons other hand.
  • They must have a CERTIFICATE/DEGREE in SURGICAL ASSISTING from an accredited school.
  • The certification for this is usually from the NBSTA, National Board of Surgical Technologists and Surgical Assistants, which comes when they sit for and pass their exam.
  • In Virginia, they also have to have a VIRGINA LICENSE, issued from the VDH.
  • 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN A HOSPITAL SETTING REQUIRED
